Hudson, LOVES to get MESSY and his favourite way to do it is by eating pasta with his hands. We always give him a fork, and he starts off using it, but after a few bites he moves back to using his hands. The mess is just too cute to get upset about! A bibagogo sure would make it a bit easier!

Keira loves to get messy and her favorite way to do it is ANY way!. Especially eating ice cream on a hot summer day. This day she was wearing all white (what was I thinking? ) But the Bibagogo saved me! We had dinner at Grandma’s right after this and Keira looked perfect! Here is a summary of the rules:
1. The photo/video must be YOURS…taken by you.
2. The photo/video must contain an image of a child between the ages of 6 months and 7 years of age as of December 31st, 2011.
3. All photo/video entries must be submitted by the legal guardians of the child in the photo/video. All entrants must be over the age of 18.
4. You may submit only submit one photo/video per qualifying child.  Families with more than one qualifying child may submit one entry per child.
5. Entrants must be Facebook fans of Bibagogo or follow @Bibagogo on twitter.
6. Photos/Videos must be appropriate for posting on our website and should be commonly suitable in a family setting. No nudity or inappropriate photo/videos will be approved.
7. Upon approval of your application, you will receive an email acknowledging that the photo/video has been approved as well as a link to your photo/video’s url.
8. All approved photos/videos will be uploaded to the facebook contest page.  The only information contained will be the first name of the baby and your answer to the following statement: “My child LOVES to get MESSY and his/her favorite way to do it is by:____”

This little recipe was a hit at one of our recent gatherings around the dinner table.

Mix dressing in a glass bowl or a glass jar for the ease of shaking:

  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Asian fish sauce
  • 2 teaspoons grated peeled fresh ginger (or medium squeeze of fresh ginger in a tube)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1 small fresh red chile, thinly sliced crosswise (or a splash of hot sauce if you don’t have a fresh chile)

 

Toss together in a salad bowl:

  • 1 small napa cabbage (about 12 ounces), cored and shredded
  • 1/3 cup snow peas, thinly sliced diagonally
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeds and ribs removed, cut into 1 1/2-inch matchsticks
  • 2 pink grapefruits, peel and pith removed, carved into segments using a sharp knife
  • 1 cup loosely packed fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves and small sprigs
  • 3 scallions, white and pale-green parts only, thinly sliced diagonally

Just before serving add dressing, toss and serve.  ENJOY.

The money was raised and those who attended had a great time amoungst great fashion from Joeffer Caoc and other fashionable pieces only available at MyFilosophy.

  • I must tell you about the enlightening experience that contributed to that generous donation ‘for the children’!
  • It started by a simple email to those on top of my mind and in my address book.
  • “HI everyone.
  • I have something for you to consider.  Don’t feel obligated but thought I would put it out there….”
  • I proposed a simple group donation basket labelled ‘Busy Parents Essentials’.

They say, ‘ask and thou shall receive’ and it is true. With eagerness, the local businesses I outreached to, stepped up and said, ‘yes, I would love to donate’, ‘great idea, love to be a part of a group donation’, ‘count me  in’.  Within a couple of days, local entrepreneurs from Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert and Spruce Grove collaborated to donate a silent auction item worth the total value of $450.00! Truly speaks to how amazing our tight-knit baby-child focused businesses work together, supports eachother and collaborates to support local businesses and charities.  12 local entrepreneurs donated to the jammed-packed, full of delights and goodies basket labelled ‘Busy Parents Essentials’.  May the person who bought it with desire and good charity enjoy every wonderful donation within the basket.  May we all support great charities and in turn recognize businesses that step up to the plate and give their goods for ‘the children’.
