Jennifer Broe, an Edmonton mother of two who took her organic baby-food business, Baby Gourmet, from a farmer’s market stand to the shelves of the world’s biggest retailer, Wal-Mart, is one of the more successful mompreneurs
- As quoted in the Financial Post, FP Year of the Entrepreneur 2011 article,
- January 2011, Baby Gourmet was being sold by Wal-Mart Canada and a clutch of independent retailers in Canada. Within a few months, it will appear on the shelves of Wal-Marts across North America. It is also slated for distribution in several large supermarket chains in Canada.
Happy Nappy city

- Happy Nappy Diaper Service, was started by Kate MacEachern and Brent Pederson, a husband and wife team from Leduc.
- As stated in TEC Edmonton, this Leduc based business has seen rapid growth over the past several years, spreading across Alberta and into British Columbia and Ontario – with more franchise opportunities underway. They appeared in front of the Dragon’s Den
Kula Klip city

- Kula Klips, The ‘Original’ hip girl clips, was started by Edmonton-based entrepreneur Ashley Fraser-Sexsmith about 5 1/2 years ago! Mom and busy business women, she manages an amazing business that covers the nation and beyond with adorable necessities that have been numerously featured on celebrities children, featured in magazines and followed by media and magazines!
