Ugh! Reading this gave me goosbumps and left me somewhat at a loss for words and cetainly dishearted. Copying is certainly a form of flattery but c'mon people, use others as inspiration to be like them or strive to do as well as they do, not copy someone's idea and run with it! I agree with Shara's comment: copying does mean they are behind the game. You are ahead of the game and will stay there. Your fans will always be loyal and you will always be the original. There are good people out there who look for and support that. I know I will. Chin up and good luck. and to whoever it is that's trying to be as good as you... I say tisk, tisk, shame on you!

I shall need their name, please, in case they even come a knock'n for PR services. I will send them pack'n ;-)

Sorry about this. My hubby tells me often, "Imitation is the highest form of flattery!" It's sure annoying, though, when someone steals your blog ideas, look, thoughts, article content, advice and of course...your DESIGN! Shame, shame. Come on, folks. In America, copying is common practice. Other counties and nations have been above that...well, the more intelligent ones, that is. Now they're being lost to forgery, also. What a shame. (I'm Australian, by the way) Keep your chin up. Copying proves that they are already BEHIND.

After years of hearing about patent trolls in the software world, it's reassuring to see (even if it's painful to hear about) the reality of a patent finally living up to what it was meant to be.
I'm sorry to hear that you were stolen from, and I hope you are able to receive proper compensation.

Thank you Christina. It would be nice to have more protection options at affordable cost for entrepreneurs. You are right about the limitations of TM, patents and Copyrights. From my years of medical sales, I have learned that healthy competition is necessary to promote improvement and progression but direct stealing of an exact design is counteractive. To create new concepts and designs take creativity and hard work. Understandably, one design or product may 'trigger' an inspiration but without being original, it is simply a lazy act of forgery. Thank you for your supportive words.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this! The number of instances I've heard where people have stolen the ideas of hard-working, creative people to make cheap knock-offs is so disturbing to me! I've also experienced the sadness of imitation, and it's certainly not fun. There is only so much a person can protect through trademarks, patents and copyrights - I wish there was more protection available (at affordable cost)! Good for you for pursuing legal action and know that people will be loyal to you because you are the true creator of your unique product! :)
