Ever loved, always needed when there is a baby around!
- 4 apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/2 cup apple cider or water
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
In sauceplan, bring to a boil chopped apples, cider and sugar over medium heat. Reduce heat once there is a boil, cover and simmer for 25 minutes until apples are tender.
Mash apple mixture with potato masher until chunky. Stir in lemon juice and sprinkle in cinnamon.
Let cool to room temperature.
Makes about 2 cups.
Keep in airtight container in fridge for up to 3 days, or divide and freeze in small baggies or freezable containers.
